The book

A ninety-day book that fits in the two minutes you already have.

Practice is one physical journal, printed for ninety days and nothing more. Three short ruled lines in the morning, three at night, and a weekly spread that turns back over the last seven days. There is no app, no login, no streak counter waiting to punish you for a Tuesday you missed.

It is made to be used badly. Skip four days and the book does not know. Come back and the next blank date line is simply the next blank date line.

Look inside

Six printed lines and a great deal of white space.

All the spreads
  • The opening pages of the Practice journal, mostly blank with a thin gold rule and the ribbon marker across the gutter

    The opening page

One rule, one date, nothing else. The book asks for very little on day one.

  • An open blank morning spread on a cream desk with a slim black pen resting beside it

    The morning page

Three ruled lines, printed short on purpose. You cannot write an essay in them.

  • An open journal under warm lamp light at night, faint handwriting across the cream pages

    The night page

The same three lines, asked backwards. Two minutes under a lamp is the whole ritual.

What people say

I have started and abandoned four journals. This one I have finished twice, because it never asks for more than six lines and it never makes me feel behind.

The circle

Ninety days is easier with other people writing theirs.

The circle is a free accountability group that runs alongside the book. One shared prompt each Monday, an open thread for the week, and a live reset session on the first Sunday of every month. No fee, no upsell, and you do not need to own a journal to join.

Questions

  • The book ends. Most people start another one within a week, which is why the set exists — but nothing renews, nothing bills you again, and there is no subscription to cancel.

  • No. Every spread has a blank date line, so a book you put down in March and pick up in June carries on from where you stopped instead of scolding you with empty pages.

  • Two minutes in the morning, two at night. The lines are printed short deliberately — if you are writing for twenty minutes you are doing something other than the method.

  • 120gsm uncoated cream stock, smyth-sewn so the book lies flat, with a ghost-free surface for fountain pen. 192 pages, 148 × 210mm, cloth over board.

  • US orders are dispatched within two business days and usually arrive in three to five. International shipping is available at checkout and takes seven to fourteen days.

  • Send it back within ninety days for a full refund, written in or not. We would rather have the book back with sixty days of your handwriting in it than have you keep something you did not use.

Tomorrow morning, three lines.

That is the entire commitment. The book arrives in a few days and the first date line is blank and waiting.
