The terms of buying a book from us.
Plain terms for a physical product: what you are buying, when the contract starts, and what happens when something goes wrong.

Who these terms are between
These terms cover the sale of goods from this site to you. Placing an order means you accept them. If you are ordering on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are able to accept them for that organisation.
Orders and acceptance
An order becomes a contract when we send the dispatch confirmation, not when the payment is authorised. Until then we may decline the order — for example if the item is out of stock, if the price was listed incorrectly, or if we cannot deliver to the address given.
If we decline an order that has already been charged, the charge is refunded in full within five business days.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars and include any applicable sales tax where we are required to charge it. Shipping is shown separately at checkout where it applies.
If a price is displayed incorrectly through an obvious error, we will contact you before dispatch with the correct price and you may confirm or cancel the order.
The product itself
The journals are physical books. Photography is representative; paper shade and cloth texture vary slightly between print runs, and a book from a later run may not be an exact match for one you already own.
Nothing in the journal or on this site is medical, psychological, financial or legal advice. It is a notebook with prompts printed in it.
The circle
The circle is provided free of charge. We may change how it runs, or stop running it, at any time, and we will say so by email if we do.
You are responsible for what you post in it. We may remove content and remove access where someone is abusive, is posting other people’s private information, or is using the group to sell something.
Liability
Our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, except where the law does not allow that limit — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and for fraud.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, and any dispute is subject to the courts of that state, without affecting any right you have to bring a claim where you live.
